Dr. (Mrs.) Dilogini Sangarathas is a PhD-qualified academic and GESI advocate leading impactful research on gender equity, rural development, and inclusive digital solutions in Sri Lanka
- Participated in the workshop focused on integrating Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) into law school curricula (USAID’s Efficient and Effective Justice Activity (EEJ Activity) in collaboration with the Department of Law at the University of Jaffna) held from April 28th to April 30th – 2024.
- Participating as one of the researchers in the study aims to evaluate the existing policy frameworks and systems within state universities that address issues related to CGBV and SRHR framing by Center for Gender Equity/Equality, UGC, Sri Lanka – 2024
- Published an article in Ceylon Today , highlighting the inspiring collaboration between academia and social inclusion through the University of Jaffna’s Certificate Course in Women’s Studies. This initiative, focused on promoting Gender Equality and Social Inclusion, empowers community participants to become advocates for gender equity titled ‘A Collaborative Journey of Academia and Social Inclusion’ – 2024
- Participated in the Multi-Sectoral National Action Plan to Address SGBV 2024-2028, Sector Technical Committee Workshop – Education Sector, Higher Education Division and Skills Development and Vocational Education Division held on 20th and 21st June – 2023
- Served as a resource person for ‘Outline the SGBV Referral Framework in Sri Lanka’ for school students and teachers in Northern Province, Sri Lanka held on the 27th of March 2023
- Appointed as organizing committee member representative from CGEE, UoJ for ‘Global conference on gender 2024/25’ hosting by CGEE, UGC, Sri Lanka
- Trained in the training of trainers (TOT) programme ‘Learning to live with diversity’ organized by UGC, Sri Lanka, held on 28th of July – 2023
- Served as coordinator and resource person for a three-hour workshop as part of the Community-Based Global Rising Freedom Festival, aligning with the 1 billion rising 2024, on 14th, Feb – 2024
- Organized and coordinated a Field Visit, reflecting its significance in promoting gender equality and fostering inclusive communities in partnership with Women’s Education & Research Centre (WERC) held on January 13th, 2024, in Kandawalai, Kilinochi, Sri Lanka
- Served as a resource person for ‘Learning Gender’ pre-semester course module sessions in the Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce, Faculty of Hindu Studies and Faculty of Allied Health Science, University of Jaffna in the orientation programs for freshers – 2024
- Participated in the International Women’s Day program organized by CGEE with the Mullaitivu District Secretariat and the Indian Embassy in Mullaitivu District, Sri Lanka on the 19th of March – 2024
- Served as a resource person in the life skills for the personality development programme to train the new entrance enrolled in the academic year 2021/2022 in the topic of ‘Gender’ held on 12, 13 and 14 July 2023 at Faculty of Science, UOJ
- Participated as representative in a stakeholder analysis to underscore the significance of the 16 Days of Activism against Women and Girls with the theme of ‘invest and unite our action to impede violence against the women and girls’ on 5th December 2023 organized by Jaffna Social Action Centre (JSAC), Sri Lanka
- Appointed as a member of the sub-committee of Monitoring and Evaluation of the Center for Gender Equity and Equality (CGEE) for two years with effect from 4th Jan – 2021
- Served as the Editorial Board Member of the Research Symposium on Gender Equity and Equality (RSGEE- 2022) CGEE, UOJ, Sri Lanka as a first and satellite conference of JUICe-2022
- Participated in the awareness dialogue on ‘reproductive well being’ organized by CGEE, UoJ held on 21st of December 2022
